Baker City real estate took a little breather over the weekend. Still some showing activity, but less than the previous few weekends. Could be the weather, which was rainy and windy in the afternoon, or the fact that it was the last weekend of Spring Break, or some other reason that nobody knows about. Consensus is that this may be the lull before the storm. The thought is that next weekend, Easter weekend, may be slow, but that activity will grow sharply after that. We'll see and, as always, report back right here.

Homes that are listed at what might seem like a bargain, and sell within a matter of days (or even hours) still have to appraise, and with a shortage of listings and comparable sales over the past six months, that is proving a challenge. Two open houses were held this weekend.
