  BUYERS: BE THERE FOR YOUR HOME INSPECTION!!!       Before I became a licensed Realtor in Oregon, I lived in California, and purchased a home in Klamath Falls, Oregon.  I trusted my "well-known" agent to recommend a good inspector. I can't even tell you how many costly items were covered up in that inspection. "Moving boxes" were stacked in the basement to "cover up" a big water leak, coming down from the kitchen. The heating system was never inspected and it sounded like a "jack hammer" when I moved in. Windows were painted shut, curtains covered broken glass panes, sewer line needed replacement, promised repairs were not completed, etc., etc. This was a very poor inspector and a very unethical Realtor, and sorry to say, they are both still conducting business in Klamath Falls, as of... 07/16/2012

Southern Oregon Reverse Mortgage Question - Can I get a reverse mortgage if my property is in a trust?   Most of the time the answer is yes. The trust must be revocable and all beneficiaries of the trust must be eligible borrowers. I know there has been some sleepless nights amongst our local farmers about whether or not they will be able to irrigate the fields this growing season.   The chat around the town has been unmistakable.   Overheard at Fred Meyer a few days ago "There was 5 inches of snow in Chiloquin and 12 inches on Deer Mountain."   Very common conversations.
