The Lake Naomi Club, through its members, supporters and donors, has affiliated with a local hospital to provide free screenings and aftercare, if necessary, to uninsured or underinsured women in our area. The money, raised by the Lake Naomi/Breast Cancer Committee, stays here to help women locally. This year, the money was raised through golf and tennis tournaments and in 2008 with a golf tournament at Lake Naomi. This year more than $35,000 was raised; in 2008, $27,000 was raised. An extensive silent auction with gifts is donated by local businesses.
