Viva NashVegas at the Handy Hardware store in Franklin TN   There is no shortage of good free music in our part of the country. Every other Saturday at the in downtown Franklin TN is no exception! It there that the Viva NashVegas Radio show is performed.   Patrons sit in the aisles of the hardware store and listen to great performs such as George Hamilton V, Shane, Gary Talley or Jay Brown, just to name a few.  The idea for Viva NashVegas came from a conversation between George Hamilton V and William Covington in a church parking lot. Many people recall what they were doing on 9/11/01, but in remembrance of the 10th anniversary of this tragic event what will you be doing at 10:30 am on 9/11/11?   The NFL will have Opening SUnday on 9/11 so there will be a special on Fox NFL.  Read more on there commemoration.  Many of the players were reading to pay finse for violating a league uniform codes to wear red/white/blue gloves or shoes, but on Friday the NFL stepped up and is going to allow the players to wear licensed gear that does commemorate the fallen men and women first responders who sacrificed their lives to save others on 9/11.   The History Channel has been running a series that is leading up to the WORld Trade Center Reborn on 9/11/11.    So let me know if you have any plans to remember the day with friends and ...

Here is the schedule of events for Saturday’s 27th annual Pumpkinfest on Franklin’s Historic Main Street. The street festival of Pumpkinfest is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Franklin’s Main Street from Second to Fifth Avenues. A few of the events are The Franklin Tomorrow Chili Cook-off on Fourth Avenue South from 10:30 to 3:30 Oct. 31. Tickets to taste chili from 13 local organizations and restaurants will be available for $5 at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Main during the event.
