It's George Washington's Birthday or Presidents Day. Yesterday my wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day.  Our Valentine's Day was very fun, our family is big on celebrating this very special day. Except there were some sad news over the weekend that's going to affect the nation in a big way: On Saturday, Supreme Court Justice Antoio Scalia died of natural causes. I'm praying for his family and our nation.  We have another snowy day on our hands. Snow stared falling since last night. I don't know what the weather channel is predicting, but we have at least 4 inches on the ground now. Schools and Government  are closed  since it's a national Holiday.

Before I was in real estate, I worked as a Registered Nurse in Inova Fairfax Hospital, Alexandria Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital.  I was a trusted professional and took my work seriously due to the scope of the work and what it entailed. My family was in construction, my father was a builder and bought and sold many homes through his life and what ended up to be through my life also.  It was a natural move for me.  Many times people have stated to me "what a change of profession."  Well....yes and no.  I took care of many patients that certainly were in different stages of their life.  It was very important work.  It is just as critical to live happy and fully when we are well, and living our lives every day. The responsibilities we have as agents working for our clients is very imp...

Langley Forest is a small community off Georgetown Pike inside the beltway.  The lots in Langley forest range mostly from .5 acres to 2/3 acreas.  Many people have sold their homes to builders and the builders have built some very large new homes in that area.  Different builds, different styles, but overall very nice homes and beautiful lots.  Builders over there include Artisan, ANV, Monarch, and many more custom builders.  There are some great opportunities for homes in Langley Forest.  Most lots have beautiful trees and nice serene and private lots.   Langley Forest is a nice place to get a large lot in Mclean around $1-2 Million and build a very gorgeous home or visit some of the news home for sale.

Mclean Virginia is like a small town community nestled within the city.  Most of the restaurants are family type restaurants with a lot of history.  The Mclean Community Center has arts, shows, and many activities for the community.  There are many smaller subdivisions within the community such as Dominion Gardens, Langley Forest, Timberley, Mclean Hamlet, and many more.  The communities besides the newer ones are not so clearly recognizable.  They all kind of blend together for the most part but the Mclean community is very nice, location is superb and within about 30 minutes of all major areas around the Beltway. For 4th of July, the area celebrates a big community celebration at the Langley high school which is really nice.  We have the Mclean Fair in the spring which is really nice ...

Hello - happy weekend to all of you.  I wanted to send you a quick email to give you all something to talk about this weekend.  Last week, the financial companies began to post their first quarter earnings.  Despite the massive losses, the picture that was painted was very impressive.  It signaled what appears to be the bottom of the credit crunch.  This is the first major step in turning the housing market around.  As you know, financing is what gave us all our great times of the early 2000's and has been the demise of our last two years.  All the major financial firms continued to write off billions of dollars during the first quarter marking three straight quarters.  However, the losses were much less than previous quarters and all stated they felt the worst is now behind us. For th...

In today's market when buyers have multiple choices in a neighborhood how do you make you home stand out?  Certainly every Realtor® will talk to you about pricing your home to sell and talk to you about making sure your home is free of clutter.  A good agent will make sure that your home has the best quality photos in the MLS and your agent may even bring in a professional stager for a consultation if it is necessary.  We hear the commercials for the high end car dealers talking about the benefits of buying a "certified pre-owned" car.  They lure you to the lot with guarantees of 32 point inspections or free vehicle reports to show you the car wasn't salvaged from a flood.  So why don't you make your home a "certified pre-owned home"?  Instead of waiting for a buyer to conduct a home in...
