I fondly remember when the kids were growing up we’d take off on a Saturday adventure that would often include a trip to Half Price Books. We have several of them here in the Seattle area but their favorite was the Redmond Store. I think that was due in part to the ride up and back via the parkway along Lake Sammamish. They coined it ‘millionaire’s row’ and we made up stories about the movie stars and celebrities that might live there. There all grown up now and off working and doing their own thing, but I miss those days. I took them to the Tukwila Store a few times, it was just a couple of miles from my condo and only a few minutes away, but no go on that one. They had their favorite so that’s where we’d go. Increased sales are the major reason for the inventory shortage.  April home sales in Redmond shot...

The first thing I took notice of at Anderson Park in Downtown Redmond were the really tall trees dressed up in beautiful tree socks.  It is vibrant and energizing and draws you in.  These tree socks were knitted by an artist named Suzanne Tidwell and the scene is titled "Artificial Light".  I've seen her art in other places; her most recent display is at the Redmond Town Center as lanterns hanging in the center.         Anderson Park in Downtown Redmond is the first and oldest park in the city, covering 2.8 acres with beautiful green grass, flowers, cabins you can rent, covered picnic shelters and a brick plaza with an outdoor stage.           The outdoor stage is the center of activity for presentations in the summer in Redmond.  This is where ACTS OUT, anew FREE outdoor theate...
