This month's Active Rain Challenge by Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can!  was to share one's dreams, one's vision of the future via a Dream Board or Vision Board. What I now to be true after all these years on this year,  when one is much closer to the end of life’s path, dreams continue change and evolve. My first dream and vision is to have my incredible husband with me for as long as possible. We have just shared 33 years of married life without one loud, very vocal fight. Of course, we have had our differences but those differences were discussed with mutual respect. Our daughter said her greatest wish for her marriage was to have one like ours where there wasn’t any fights.Ken is an avid historian. He recently purchased this helmet (a replica) from WWI. I keep John Wooden's Book " Lifetime of observations and reflections on and off the court" hand reach from me.I still see him walking on Wilshire Blvd near UCLA minding his own business, not looking for recognition, just an old wise man walking in his neighborhood. Now back to my question what your definition of Success, well John Wooden coined his definition of Success in 1934. Let me share it here:" ..Success is peace of mind that is the direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming..." As John Wooden said there is only one person who can ultimately judge the lever of your success and that is YOU! I cannot agree more with this observation.I am one of my harshest critics, I do not verbalize it externally, but internal...

You Have More Options for Your MoveAre you thinking about selling because your current house is too big, too small, or because your needs have changed? John Henry has done an excellent job of capturing the lush foliage and beautiful blooming flowers that we are very fortunate to have here in central Florida blooming a good part of the year.    I have many of these flowers growing in my own yard. Most are relatively easy to grow with minimal care. It is unavoidable to find a variety of flowers and shrubs in the Florida sun everywhere you look.  Just walking around your neighborhood or visiting local parks you will see some astonishing flora that thrives here year-round.  The collection of photos below were taken in my neighborhood, the Maitland Community Park, and Lake Lily.  As the seasons change and the sun moves higher and lower, one can record the blooming of flowers and the effects of insects on leaves, etc.  Shadows cast from one ...

My 2024 Vision - A Canvas of Possibilities Welcome to my “canvas of possibilities,” my vision board encapsulating my dreams, aspirations and intentions for 2024. On a personal level, it's a mosaic of joy, health, and connections, where dreams of travel, family and cherished moments with loved ones take visual form. I envision a year where community and connections are at the heart of everything I do. I’m also keenly aware that both my personal and my business worlds collide in much of what I do. Many (most, in fact) of my clients are friends and family or are referrals from them so, we always seem to have something strong to connect us from the very beginning. My quarterly client appreciation events will continue as I add at least one event being a collaborative event with the Humane So...

Our area can get a bit drab during the Winter months when there isn't snowy decorations, so I enjoy seeing the early shoots of daffodils appearing and then our first flowers to bloom, our snowdrops.Snowdrops aren't big flowers, just a handful of inches tall, but they can handle the cold, so snow can come and go and they'll still be there with delicate blooms opening as the temps warm.Snapping a picture of them to share offers options, and perspective matters.  If I stand nearby, the distance is such that I'll mostly have little flower dots and not much detail.  Shoot from straight above and a different look, or you can do what I did to get the shot, lay flat and point my camera upwards to capture details.A change in perspective is all that was needed to gain an aspect of the flowers tha...
