Speechless Sundays: browsing through a few of my cookbooks I was inspired to make some more great food. Needless to say, on my way home from a photo shoot on one of my newest listings, I had to stop in at Trader Joe's to get some of the missing ingredients for my future cooking. So with that said stay tuned what I will create from browsing through these cookbooks. Not sure if Diane is aware but there will be some great meals coming her way soon. There are so many to choose from it is almost too hard for me to narrow the list down. Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. Out early to enjoy the early morning quiet this fine North Idaho Sunday, and an extra special treat. Not 20 feet from the porch was this good looking fellow.  Fortunately I had my phone camera which I do profess not to go out the door without...just for this reason.Nice way to start off Sunday in Naples Idaho.  While the owl itself is not all that large, check out the talons!'Experience the Difference' in working with a full time Professional Sandpoint Realty REALTOR® Your wants and needs will always be my priorities.  Mark Don McInnesBroker - Owner208 255-6227 SandpointNorthIdaho.com - North Idaho Home & Land Searches Sandpoint Realty LLC1205 Highway 2Sandpoint, Idaho 83864

How many listings do you have, or how many listings are waiting for you? I keep a waiting list for potential clients. This approach has helped me work with clients willing to wait for my services. As a listing agent, I focus on quality over quantity, preferring to handle fewer transactions and provide better service. As a listing agent, I make all my appointments, and no one talks to my sellers but me. I aim for fewer transactions and a higher service. Walking away from a listing is always an option. I don't do business with people I don't like or respect.  Don't think of it as turning down a listing; think of it as making room for a better listing.I'm working on my waiting list, so watch for new listings in the next few weeks and months. It's ok to walk away from a potential listing if ...

Protect Your Home: Vacant Property Scams Are you planning a vacation? If so, you might want to keep an eye on your property. There has been a rise in scammers, posing as owners of seemingly unoccupied land, trying to sell, or rent the property right under the owners’ noses. If you own a secondary home or investment property, check with your local county recorder to see if they offer a fraud alert service. Most county offices provide this free service to notify you of suspicious activity involving your property. You can also set up alerts for properties you own on listing sites to catch unauthorized listings. And if possible, ask a trusted friend or neighbor to watch your property for unexpected visitors. Please be careful

⚓AnchoredLife in the DC Metro area is fast. Between the political drama that changes faster than traffic lights and the everyday whirlwind of raising kids, there’s barely time to breathe. But after almost 30 years of calling this region home, I’ve come to realize one thing: home is the anchor that keeps us grounded in the storm.Anchored in the DC Metro: My Journey as a Realtor and a MomI moved to the DC Metro area with big dreams, not realizing how fast life would take off. Fast forward, and here I am—raised my kids in the vibrant suburbs of Loudoun County. From school pickups and soccer practices to navigating endless traffic jams, home has been my anchor in this ever-changing, fast-paced world. As a Realtor for over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping families find their anchor...

How To Manage Stress From Real Estate SalesIn my 16 years in the sales business I have worked up markets, down markets, and a few flat ones. The one common thread? There is ALWAYS stress in the day to day practice. Here are some ways I learned to manage stress...1) Separate yourself from the transaction--This is a tough one due to the fact that agents typically get paid at closing. The deal dies the night before? No money for you! What this arrangement breeds is the agent sharing the same emotions as the buyer or seller. Our power comes not being connected to the deal. People in a sinking boat have a tough time teaching others how to swim. 2) Have ample savings-- Try to keep at least 90 days worth of bill money in the bank. This will help keep you for stressing out over every deal. 3) E...

Sandpoint Realty 'Thursday Thought' brings up the 2nd thread that will be running thru these September 'Back to School' posts. The first quote for September reminded us that age and learning do not go hand in hand.  Today's quote stresses the importance of closing the gap between hearing new information and actually learning/understanding.As we move through September I believe you will see the two themes consistently.  Make it a good learning month ahead.   'Experience the Difference' in working with a full time Professional Sandpoint Realty REALTOR® Your wants and needs will always be my priorities.  Mark Don McInnesBroker - Owner208 255-6227 SandpointNorthIdaho.com - North Idaho Home & Land Searches Sandpoint Realty LLC1205 Highway 2Sandpoint, Idaho 83864

What drives you? What drives you?  Meeting your goals, being on the top of your company in sales, being a leader in your field? There are so many things that drive each and every one of us.  No two people may have the same drive but we all have something and work to get to a certain point.  Competition starts at an early age in school for most people, whether it is grades, sports or just being an individual with certain talents.Coming from the corporate world 28 years ago, I was always into beating my budget and bringing more to the bottom line for the company. In return, I made good money and always received great raises.  I hope you all have a drive and success at hitting your mark!

Kissed by the waters of the Sassafras River, asleep Grove Point lies in wait. Friendships were formed there, bonds tied tight ‘round campfires and along the trails in her sheltered woods. We laughed our way from childhood to adulthood there and now, we bid her a fond farewell. Grove Point has been sold.   Inspired by the post by Michael Jacobs and then by Kat Palmiotti's post, I took on the 53-word challenge. When I started writing about Grove Point, I thought it would be hard to contain the initial piece to 53 words, but it sort of flowed. I think the 300 word part will be harder to contain. Grove Point is a Girl Scout camp in Maryland, nested beside the Sassafras River which flows into the Chesapeake Bay.  It was our GS Council's only open water camp but even that couldn't save it. Th...

Dawn in the mountains near Denali was muffled by clouds and light scattered showers, but there was no stopping us. Tickets had been purchased for a bus tour, so off to Denali National Park we went. We started with a film in the Visitors’ Center, and then we were off to meet the bus. (Yes, the film is well worth the short time spent to view it, as it gives you glimpses into the park’s beauty in all seasons.)We boarded the bus and were fortunate to sit up front and talk with the driver, Dallin, who was a wealth of information. He set our expectations properly, not promising tons of wildlife and certainly not promising a view of Denali, the great mountain, itself. So often is Denali shrouded in clouds, that about 70% of the Alaskan tourists never see her. Yes, I started referring to Denali...

Every year on September 11, we honor the Patriot Day since September 11, 2001 the memory of the approximately 3,000 innocent victims who died in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and remember the first responders who risked their own lives to save others. We can remember and honor the Patriot Day by attending Patriot Day ceremonies. We can volunteer helping others remembering the day, help an organization with meaning to you. Improve the lives of others and the world around you, spread kindness, and offer them hope.Remember those killed in the attacks and stand united as a Nation, and join others in prayer vigils or memorial events.I want to wish ActiveRain Community a Great Patriot Day National Day of Service and Remembrance Day.

If you’ve received an IRS notice or are struggling with tax debt, you’re not alone. Many individuals face tax issues, especially when they receive intimidating notices like the CP504 — a final reminder that the IRS is prepared to levy your assets. In this post, I’ll share a recent case where I helped a client settle their IRS debt quickly and efficiently. If you're in a similar situation, this could be exactly the help you need to resolve your tax debt. The Problem: $18,000 IRS Debt and a CP504 NoticeOn Monday, I met with a client who owed nearly $18,000 in back taxes to the IRS. He had just received a CP504 notice, which is one of the last steps before the IRS begins levying your bank accounts, wages, or other assets. Understandably, he was concerned and wanted to resolve the issue befo...
