Members of the Early Settlers Association of the Western Reserve, family, friends, and onlookers gathered Wednesday near the statue of Moses Cleaveland in Public Square to celebrate the 224th anniversary of the founding of Cleveland.The group has been gathering for years on July 22 to honor this day, but this year, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, the celebration was pared down. There was no cake, or wreath, or color guard from the Sons of the American Revolution, but the guests were still happy to have the celebration.
