Being a real estate professional in the Metro Detroit area, I'm constantly asked ‘Scott, can you find me a deal?' 100 percent of the time my answer is ‘absolutely I can within 24 hours'.  Then I add asking ‘do you have a source of money to be able to close the transaction and purchase the real estate deal I've found you quickly?'  More times than not I catch them with a blank stare on their face and not knowing what to say.

As a real estate professional especially in this economic climate we are dealing with many people (especially sellers) who are emotionally damaged.  For the time being I’m finding that I’m not having to deal with commission objections from home owners or any of the other traditional ‘roadblocks’ that may come up.

My friend Tracy advised me to read the book 'Who Moved My Cheese'.  This was in 2001.  I respected Tracy as she was a successful Real Estate Agent and an overall caring and genuine person.  I read it but really was not internalizing the message, but it did motivate me, which at that time of my life I was always motivated.
