I read two articles today in two different newspapers (one from the BALTIMORE SUN and one from the USA TODAY) that stated the first time home buyer tax credit is up for consideration to be extended and expanded in Harford County, Maryland and throughout the rest of the country. I know it is easier said than done, but if you can just make one extra payment per year on your mortgage you will save incredible amounts of money in interest and knock several years off of your loan in the process. There are many different ways that you can use your garage to be beneficial to you. I decided that since I was getting ready to finish my basement that I would hire a contractor to come in and install some shelving for me to store my extra "seasonal items" (like holiday decorations, beach things, baby stuff, etc).
