Hard to believe we haven't posted to ActiveRain in sooooo long!.  Between reading and writing on our Facebook Fan page, Twitter, Linked-in, our blog, and oh yeah- selling real estate - it has been over 2 years since our last post.  Lots has happened.  Darn near all of it good!  We promise to be more active here and to let you know about what has been going on with us as well as letting you know about what is happening in the Central Indiana Real Estate market!

Last night, at the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors (MIBOR) Annual President's Ball, Bruce was named Realtor of the Year for Central Indiana in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments and commitment to serving the local board and the real estate industry. bright side team: Indianapolis Again Named Most Affordable Market - 12/10/07 02:05 AM
On Nov. 27, the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Opportunity Index (HOI), released its third quarter 2007 findings naming Indianapolis the most affordable major market for the ninth consecutive time. Meanwhile, nationwide housing affordability rose on a year-over-year basis but was down slightly for the quarter due to higher mortgage rates.
According to the index, 87.5 percent of homes sold in Indianapolis in the third quarter were affordable to families earning the area's median household income of $63,800. One smaller metro market (fewer than 500,000 people) outranked all others in terms of housing affordability during the third quarter. This … (0 comments)

The Speedway Redevelopment project moves into its next phase with last week’s selection of local developer Mansur Real Estate Services, Inc. The project – known as The Speed Zone – includes the re-routing of 16th Street, the extension of Holt Road north to 30th Street, the vacation of Georgetown Road from 16th Street to 25th Street, the revitalization of Speedway’s main street, and the creation of dozens of new sites for retail, hotel, industrial and manufacturing facilities, many related to the racing industry. Initial work on 16th Street is expected to begin in mid 2008.

We have been in Washington DC all week attending the mid-year convention of the National Association of Realtors. 
Wednesday was spent on Capitol Hill visit with Senator Lugar and Congressmen Buyer, Burton and Pence.
While visiting Congressman Buyer's office I asked for an update on Ronald Regan Parkway.  As a Hendricks County Resident I know the state just started work on the new interchange at I-74 and that Plainfiled is about to open several sections of the highway in that area.  It looks like most of the links are moving forward other than the section that will go over the Avon Railroad yard.  … (0 comments)
