This weekend being a holiday weekend and my husband having 3 days off, I decided to take the weekend off. We did a lot of bicycle riding and hiking.
We started off hiking in Louise Moore Park. Louise Moore Park is located within 10 minutes of Nazareth, Pennsylvania in Lower Nazareth and Bethlehem Townships. It offers much for the public.
There are paved and gravel trails that can be used for hiking or biking. Along the gravel trail, which happens to be longer than the paved trail, has different stations along the way to stop and do assorted exercises, like (2 comments)
Saturday, a craft sale was held on the lawn of the Whitfield House and Museum in Nazareth, PA. It was a gorgeous morning and my husband and I walked around to see. There were many tables set up and many crafts.
Some were selling jewelry, art work, woodwork, home made sauces and jellies and baked goods. At one table, a Native American was selling hand made Native American Flutes and drums. What will an old resident's fate be? Nazareth council will decide tonight
From reading the title, I'm sure I have your attention and perked your curiosity.
Who is this old resident of Nazareth who's fate will be decided tonight?
This resident has resided at the same place in Nazareth for 107 years and has seen many visitors over the years. This resident is an old beech tree located in the town's circle.
The tree is dying a slow death and the town will decide if it needs to be put out of it's misery.
I went out for a walk at lunch time without a jacket and was quite comfortable. I was not cold at all. Plus, I have the windows open in my house. It feels great! And this is the middle of winter.
Those of you that know me are probably saying at this point "How can that be? She does not live in Florida or Hawaii. She lives in the northeastern part of the country, namely Pennsylvania."
Today is February 11th and it is 69 degrees in Nazareth, PA. Yes, you heard right. 69 degrees in the middle of (6 comments)

The idea began about 1 year ago. An area resident was willing to donate the labor from his landscaping company if the borough bought the materials and a permit was issued to allow the area of the park for dogs.
There is one other dog park in the Lehigh Valley and it is located in Bethlehem (4 comments)

The well known Speedway in Nazareth, PA is for sale once again. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Nazareth Speedway, it used to host the Indy Racing League and CART racing until August, 2004. It then closed in part due to dwindling support. The last race run was the Indy 225, on August 29, 2004. The 1 mile oval track was then put on the market 5 months later by the owners. The track went under agreement with Ashley Development Corp. in March of 2006. They had agreed to purchase the 158 acre property from International Speedway Corp. of (5 comments)
