The Blessed Blogger. After several years of using the pen name; The Naked Blogger, I wanted to change my pen name to something that would bring me joy, and perhaps better reflect my happy and blessed soul. What's the inspiration behind the name? Very simply, I've been blessed with a loving family, wonderful friends, and the best career a gal could ever want. Sure, I've had struggles like everyone, but I've tried to make a conscious effort to see the positive in every situation. I've been blessed with some wise mentors too! A Weed or A Wish? Obstacles or Opportunities? Life is truly about perspective and how we view the world through our tiny lens. My friends say I was born positive. Perhaps. But I've certainly had my share of trials, heartache and disappointment. Who hasn't. Do you suppose we were shaped in the womb with certain DNA pointing us to the brighter side of life? Or is it something we learn? Gazillions of dollars are spent on shaping one's tude.

Blame it on the Fairy Dust... I must have inhaled too much of the stuff when I was a kid. I loved a good fairy tale where everyone lived happily ever after. It made life in the poor house so much more tolerable. I always told myself that someday my life would be different. I dreamed, I hoped, I believed... and so it was! It's easy to bury your head in the sand when the going gets tough. Perhaps we allow the fairy dust to cloud our vision of reality. Momentary blindness isn't so bad... is it? Yeah Baby - Give Me Some Kisses! We start out as babes, loving ourselves and wanting to be loved. Then, somewhere along the way, we begin our retreat into consciousness and self-doubt. We allow the opinions of others to shape how we think about ourselves. We lose our innocence and we start to see the world through the eyes of cynicism and fear. And that prevailing attitude carries into adulthood, feeding and nurturing the never ending cycle of babble and confusion. Oh to be a babe again!
