Its October already here which means its time for Halloween and ghost stories! Pawleys Island is home to several of the most famous ghost stories in South Carolina. The stories of Alice Flagg and the mysterious Gray Man haunt the residents of Pawleys Island year round and have become local folklore among the residents. There are several accounts to the story of Alice Flagg that have be able to captivate the residents of Pawleys and surrounding areas, but the basic premise is that of a love stricken young woman kept from seeing her true love.
