Some people have not ever heard of Tellico Plains, located in East Tennesee. I have tried to make a trip to Tellico Plains for the Christmas parade each year but have had other demanding things that had to be done. I just was able to enjoy the parade via You Tube. Knoxvill Tellico Plains, Tennessee is a laid back little village found just southeast of Knoxville. To me, it is one of my favorite places to visit and could be a happy camper should I live there. I have met so many nice people in this town. Southern hospitality drips from all the villagers and the best hang out is the Old Bakery. Starbucks takes the back seat to their coffee and the pastries are drop dead good. I love the beaches and I love the mountains. Years ago, I went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee on my honeymoon. I later returned with my small children and they enjoyed riding horses and running around Gatlinburg. I just remember it being small and quaint and just loved the architecture of the buildings and the smell of logs burning in the fireplaces and beautiful log cabins. "TELLICO PLAINS!! WHERE IS THAT?" That is exactly what I said when someone told me that East Tennessee and Tellico Plains was really nice. I asked what mades it any different than North Carolina or Gatlinburg? They only laughted at me and said that I should just look and see. Of course I started my search and took a trip to see.
