Between May 2014 and May 2015 for Dover, MA, the number of sales closed on single-family homes increased by 20%, while the average sales price decreased by 38.1% in the area. The number of days of the houses on the market decreased by 40.3% and new listings in Dover increased by 21.7%.
As for condominium properties in the area, the sales did not increase or decrease, and the average sales price remained the same as well. The number of days on the market for condos in Dover had no change and the number of new listings increased by 2.

boston: The NEW Most Expensive Place to Live in Boston

Boston is known for it's expensive rental market, and recently a condo in an expensive area of Boston, Back Bay, was sold for $12.5 million and now holds the title as one of the most expensive condo sold in Boston, according to Scott Van Voorhis, a Boston.com Correspondent.
The condo features only two bedrooms and two and a half baths, so one wouldn't think that it would be so expensive! The 12th floor condo in the Mandarin Oriental is 3,222 square feet, which puts the condo at a whopping $3,880 per square foot. According to Voorhis, this is the record breaking … (1 comments)

Boston is changing! There is nothing but change, change, and change for our City of Champions, including streetscape changes and MBTA changes. We are in the midst of both a hotel building boom and an apartment-building boom (and some condos too). Here are five Boston neighborhoods in particular that will have new additions to our historic cities.
Fenway
About a half dozen recently completed and planned projects are briinging in maybe 2000 apartments and condos to the Fenway Park area, including the 342-unit Viridian. At the same time, expect to chip in a load of cash for these units.

boston: Boston's Expensive Rental Market

Check out how much Boston renters paid earlier in 2015! According to this graphic, courtsey of Zumper Blog, Boston rentors paid up to $3,350 per month.
Though commenters on this blog post noticed that the graphic only showed Cambridge and north Boston, the rent is still expectionally high compared to the rest of the United States.

boston: Local Market Update for Boston, MA

Between January 2014 and January 2015, Real Estate in Boston
seems to be average. For single-family properties, there has been a nice increase of 14.3% in closed sales. The average price of home has also increased, if only by a mere 3.4%. Unfortunately, properties have stayed on the market an extra 19.9% and theres been a 19.7% decrease in new listings of single-family properties.
Condominium sales in Boston have decreased by 23.7% while the average sales price has increased by 3.7%. Condos in Boston have been on the market for a shorter period with a decrease of 10.7%. New listings of condos have … (0 comments)

boston: Local Market Update for Back Bay, Boston, MA

Between January 2014 and January 2015, closings of single-family properties in Back Bay, a neighborhood in Boston haven't changed a bit. With a single sale in both months, there was neither an increase or a decrease. That being said, the average sales price of the property sold increased by 54.5%. Unfortunately, the amount of time on the market increased by a whopping 328.6%! No new listings were added to the market in either January 2014 or 2015.
Condominium properties in Back Bay, on the other hand, had a nice increase all around. 10.5% more properties closed in January 2015 than 2014 … (0 comments)
