This Fishers Real Estate Blog often covers neighborhoods and market reports, but I like to highlight events too.  Flavor of Fishers will be here on August 1st from noon until 10:00 p.m. at the USA Parkway Circle.  You can only enter from 106th street this year.

Every month when I write the Fishers Real Estate Market Reports, Sunblest Farms is mentioned it seems.  Sunblest Farms is one of the most popular older neighborhoods in Fishers and is located within walking distance of most of downtown.  One of the great features is the way that Sunblest is laid out; it is set up as a wheel with Holland Park as the hub and the streets/homes as the spokes.

We have been doing market reports for Fishers Real Estate for over a year now!   This particular report highlights the 1st six months of 2009 with the same time period in 2008.  The graph below highlights the key indicators we should watch, including price per sq ft, days on market and the number of distressed properties.

Active Homes for sale in Fishers Indiana for May total 735.  What is most interesting is of the 189 new listings that came on the market in May, nearly 20% of them were from high end neighborhoods (sale price over $500,000) including Bridgewater, Canal Place, Lake Stonebridge, and Windermere Pointe.  This may tell us that consumer confidence is beginning to come back or it may tell us executive job loss is on the rise; what's your call?

Homes in Fishers Indiana for February showed moderate increases from the January 2009 Fishers Real Estate Market report.  The most expensive home that sold in Fishers was $900,000 this month located on 126th just off of Allisonville Road.  It was new construction built by Hoover Custom Homes.  The lowest priced home was in Sunblest for $115,000.

Buying your first home in Fishers or elsewhere in the country just got $500 better than the current credit in place, albeit $7,000 worse than the original proposed credit a week ago.  The Economic Stimulus package that passed in the House (246 to 183) last week and then in the Senate (60-38) was signed into law on Tuesday.  The best synopsis of the difference between the previous $7,500 credit and the new $8,000 credit is provided by the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

Your Fishers Realtor wants to highlight another great neighborhood in the Fishers Real Estate Market!  In preparing the post about 2006 to 2008 home values in Fishers, I identified a neighborhood to feature, it is Rosewood.  Rosewood is located off of Cumberland just north of 131st street.  There are 170 homes built between 1995 and 2005 in the subdivision.
