Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty has changed some of the rules when it comes to mortgages in Canada. There was some concern that one of the rules would be that home-buyers would have to put a minimum of 10 percent down, instead of only five percent. Another change that was discussed but was not implemented was shortening amortizations from 35 years maximum to 30 years, this also did not happen. I am on the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) Forcast Conference Task Force .Yesterday was finally the day we had all worked so hard for. The Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) Forcast conference was all day yesterday and I have to say it was really awesome. Personally it was the best conference I have ever been too and It was really rewarding to get so much positive feedback from REALTORS (R).The best part for me was how I got to spend a whole day with Amy Chorew and introduce her three sessions.
