Our 11 and 13 year-old-boys, Ben and Sam, pretty much move from sport to sport through the seasons. Yesterday brought the end of wrestling season for Sam and basketball for Ben, then next week Sam moves on to track and Ben to baseball in a couple more weeks. At other times of the year they've played football, played soccer, skied, Ben also wrestled, they swim and enjoy oudoor sports like biking, skateboarding and hiking. Another season, another sport, which means more hectic schedules and running around for mom and dad, too. Chances are neither … (1 comments)

Hood River County Little League Tryouts! The Parkdale/Odell, Oregon Little League tryouts for Minors and Majors teams were held last night, March 2nd at Mid-Valley Elementary. Every child will make it onto a team... the tryouts are held in an attempt to level out the teams and to determine if the child will play Minors or Majors. I know our son felt so good to get out and play a little baseball, which also means spring is just around the corner. Spring and baseball... like peanut butter and jelly! One last set of tryouts will be held next week... check the Little League website … (4 comments)
