Lexington SC Real EstateTaxes will remain unchanged according to a recent article in the Lexington Chronicle.  This decision comes after much debate and concern over whether or not the district would receive some much needed stimulus money.  The Lexington District 1 school board said that with 6 million dollars in stimulus money, the possbile tax increase as well as possible layoffs are no longer needed.  The money will save 36 teaching positions, which is great news for Lexinton 1 schools and Lexington residents with children in schools.
