remax: North Cape May Lower Gold Coast - 06/11/11 02:06 PM
This is a short video accompanied by a poem by Raymond Foss. It is about sand and is a taste of the beach along North Cape May which I like to call "The Lower Gold Coast" . I hope you enjoy it and are fortunate enough to be living close to this area so you can experience some of the most magical sunsets in all of New Jersey.

remax: Its a good day! - 05/02/11 09:44 AM

As I usually try to do, a few times a week, I got up early this morning to go rowing in the Cape May harbor.  Around the half way point of my morning routine, I passed the US Coast Guard base where the cadets were in the process of raising the flag.  It's a touching ceremony that occurs every morning, every day of the year.  I always appreciate seeing the seamen on the cutters and life boats saluting as the National Anthem plays.  But this morning I felt even more grateful than usual.  The good news about last night's event … (0 comments)

remax: A Shore Thing - 04/25/11 11:49 AM

Every year, around this time, there seems to be a county wide epidemic of mania that occurs.  OK, maybe it's really just a shore thing within the county.  Either way, after a seemingly depressing winter, where the unemployment rate soared to 17%, temperatures plummeted below 20 degrees, and the population dropped over 80%, things suddenly began to come alive.  I'm no doctor but it sure does sound like community manic-depression to me.
But unlike the mental illness, where it's hard to predict when the highs and lows will manifest, the county's mood shift is pretty reliable.  Yep, it's … (3 comments)

remax: Seminar or Infomercial ? - 07/01/10 03:12 PM

I had the opportunity to sit through a "Marketing seminar " earlier today that was sponsored by Realtor.com .  Having been to many of these events in the past I always expect the customary pitch toward the end and I have absolutely no problem with that as this was a free event with coffee and danish being served and I always pull a few valuable items from them . What happened was an hour and a half into it I started to get that Uh-Oh feeling, you know that uncomfortable here we go type thing.  You can notice a general … (3 comments)

remax: Ocean Views and nothing but Ocean views ! - 06/26/10 02:28 PM

Location is everything and timing is a close second. This home is situated with very big views of Hereford inlet and the ocean. The home is being sold strictly as-is and would be perfect for a handyman or contractor to build their dream. There is a newer 2 car gagrage on the property to use during renovations as a work area or storage. Homes this close to the Ocean with beautiful water views don't come up for sale that often so here is your chance.

remax: A Truly Beautiful Home !!! - 06/25/10 02:22 PM

Elegant, peaceful, invigorating , these are only a few ways to describe one of the most perfect townhomes in Wildwood Crest. From the first step into the radiantly sunlit tile foyer you will feel something very different. The light rolls into an expansive but warm great room and custom kitchen like a gentle tide. A gas fireplace adds to the gentile feel of this opulent space. There are recessed lights throughout the first floor and high profile crown molding that frames this beautiful space. The home also has custom Hunter Douglas silhouette blinds on each of the carefully placed windows. … (1 comments)

This top 2 floor condominium has everything a luxury property should have without the high price. Starting with the private elevator, the massive great room with cathedral ceilings, the private 4th floor master suite with incredible views. You will be glad you waited for this property, there is an oversized master bath with custom tiled shower, double comode style vanities and a corner jacuzzi tub. There are hardwood floors, granite counters, upgraded cabinets and high profile moldings. This property truly has a unique layout that is a standout amongst the cookie cutter condos out there. Price drastically reduced ! … (0 comments)

remax: RE/MAX Green Designation - 01/21/09 06:07 AM

RE/MAX has jumped onto the bandwagon and rolled out their newest marketing venture to embrace the changing conscious of where our housing market is going. Here is a link to the site that spells out the program and all its requirements and how it can benefit RE/MAX agents and their clients as well as our planet.

I was happy to see that the " EcoBroker" certification was an approved designation that qualified me to use the new RE/MAX Green Designation.

remax: Data Base Update Relives Old Victories and Failures - 01/11/09 11:00 AM
This year I am going through my Top Producer and updating anything missing or delete contacts who I won't likely do business with any time soon.  One thing that does happen during this exercise is you get to relive each transaction and everything that happened during that time. It is almost like watching old training films in your mind only my personal perception surely distorts what really happened.
I keep noticing small things that I would have done or said different and it also gives me an opportunity to reach out to anyone that I feel needs a quick call. I think about ways things could … (0 comments)

remax: 2 car garage with 2 cars in it - 12/07/08 07:11 AM
Well , one thing can be said for this economic slowdown : I finally had the time to clean up my gargage and get both cars in it. I thought about a before and after shot but i was too late to get the before and I don't think my wife likes me to advertise how much of a mess our garage was.
I was amazed at how much stuff I found that I had believed lost forever. I found light fixtures and outlets, plumbing parts, all of which I bought more thinking I had none. It's pretty ridiculous to see … (7 comments)

remax: Is anything Selling? - 11/30/08 02:34 AM
I hear that question almost daily , and i always answer with a resounding yes.  Actually in the Cape May County market just from last Sunday 40 properties went to settlement. When you look at it from an inventory perspective that would be 3 1/3 years of inventory .  That means it is crucial to price a home properly in this market or your chances of selling are extremely slim to none.
Unfortunately for a seller it doesn't matter if you have the special nails or the new roof ( which is actually 5 years old), buyers won't consider those … (0 comments)

remax: Cape May Mist - 07/28/08 03:28 PM

This is a shot I took this morning while rowing towards the Cape May bridge. It reminded me of all the great moments in this area where you could imagine being in any number of exotic locations around the world. I thought of some river in Thailand early in the morning with exotic birds echoing from the trees off in the distant. 40 minutes later you could easily see the bridge and the houses across the canal. I feel very fortunate to be able to see these special places almost daily. As a Local Realtor with RE/MAX at The Shore I … (1 comments)

remax: RSN at home - 11/16/07 06:18 AM
I finally finished all my due dillagence regarding getting Dish Network so I could watch the RE/MAX channel at home.  After everything is said and done my cable internet will go up $ 1.45 each month and my bill for Dish will be $6.00 less than cable but I won't get Sundance channel .
Now I would guess I have a write off on the dish because I have a home office and will use the network for education. Does anyone use RSN at home regularly and do they claim the monthly bill as a full deduction on office expense or education? … (0 comments)

remax: The Pain of the Missed Sale - 08/19/07 01:59 AM
I had a great productive Saturday in the Wildwoods, that was ending with a nice long conversation with a new listing client and his neighbor the builder developer who built the property . It was looking as though I was moving towards working with the developer in Wildwood Crest also , so my enthusiasm was pretty healthy at that point.
But then a car pulls up and a gentleman walks up to us an introduces himself, he recognizes me from an open house I did at a large bayfront townhome several weeks earlier. Then the Bomb drops, he informs us he is buying the … (11 comments)
