Last weekend our church, Nampa First Christian Church voted to accept a proposal on a new project called "The Marginalia" Project. What is this?? The Marginalia Project is a group of people in our church who found a need and asked the church to meet it! It seems that in our area the local shelters as a rule make their patrons leave the shelter during the day. On Wednesdays the shelters for what ever reason don't serve a noon meal! Today as I was going out and about a few times I passed Applebees in Nampa Idaho...I not iced that the parking lot was incredibly full...and I could see a waiting line of people who were going to eat! I knew it was lunch time but this was not the norm! As I passed by I noted on the Billboard...that Applebees was serving a free meal to all Veterans! What a cool idea! It was recently announced in the Idaho Press Tribune that the College of Idaho (C of I) in Caldwell, Idaho has received several national recognitions...College of Idaho was named a 2011 Best 373 colleges in America by the Princeton Review. Forbes Magazine ranked College of Idaho 182 out of more than 600 colleges and universities nationally. This will be the 44th annual Festival....usually about 10,000 people attend with another 20,000 watching the finale fireworks out side of the venue. Come to the Idaho Center located off of Garrity and Franklin Road starting at 5 pm.
