Great news for home buyers in the Greater Cincinnati Ohio area. The tax credit has been expanded with some new and exciting changes. Now buyers can still continue to purchase homes with confidence that they will be able to still get the tax credit after November 30th. As long as they have a binding contract in effect by April 30, 2010 and close the deal by June 30th, 2010. Congress voted yesterday to extend and expand the program. This year the Southern Ohio Association of Realtors put on their annual Trade Fair event in the Receptions in Eastgate, Ohio 5-8pm, Thursday October 22nd. There were tons of Realtors, Title Agencies, Inspectors, Stagers, lenders and other various vendors there in support of the association. I was fortunate enough to MC the event and had a blast making announcements and introducing the vendors to the Realtors over the microphone. The Trade Fair Committee has been meeting over the last 6 months on this event and the results were fantastic. On August 22nd, 2009 I created my Facebook Fan Page with one fan, ME! As of now I have over 110 fans that have come aboard with this new page. I first created some content just like any new Facebook page. Next I added some photos of some community events that our Real Estate team has participated in. I posted links to my Blog and a link back to our main Real Estate Website. Finally I reserved a vanity URL to make the page easier to find. I have been asked if the first time home buyer tax credit is working in Cincinnati, Ohio. I would say, "yes" to that. Our activity for first time home buyers has increased steadily over the last several months and we had our best September ever recorded this past month! We had 10 transaction sales... Milford Ohio is an eastern suburb of Greater Cincinnati, Ohio and is in Clermont County Ohio. There are many ways to get there from downtown Cincinnati including a highway route from I-471 to I-275 or I-71 North to I-275 South. You can also take the old state route 50 that goes right through downtown and connects all the way to Milford and beyond. This road is similar to that of RT 66 as it connects Washington DC and the Capital buildings all the way to California. There is some interesting history here on Rt 50. Keller Williams Advisor Agents all pitched in and made RED Day 2009 a huge success! This day of giving back was not only rewarding and fun, but the overwhelming response of participants caused us to complete our project 3 hours early!! We met at Heritage Park in Mason last Thursday at 8:45 am and put wood chips around the perimeter of the drive around the park. I counted about 30-50 people there (all KW agents) and staff. I had the pleasure of trying a new deli/ restaurant/ carry out this week. After an afternoon game of tennis at a Miami Township park down the street some friends of mine recommended a small lunch spot that they had become very fond of called Miami Market. They had been there several times and highly recommended the lunch specials. Here is some good news on our local Real Estate market. We have noticed a lot of activity within our own team. Last week we closed on a $435,000 home in Goshen and took a new listing there as well. We are taking one new listing in Mt Carmel today and have 5 other deals under contract set to close in May and June. We have 40 other listings right now and a few of those under contract as we speak.
