Middle Tennessee, Greater Nashville - They all sound good to me. We all know Nashville...Music City but where and what is Middle Tennessee?Since moving here a number of years ago I remember everyone talking about Middle Tennessee, but I never really knew what that meant. Well it seems that Middle Tennessee, unlike geographic designations of regions in other states, has legal as well as socioeconomic meaning.There are three Grand Divisions; Middle Tennessee, West Tennessee and East Tennessee, hence the three stars on the State Flag.
