Happy New Year  Start Off on the Right Foot
We begin a new year and we were so anxious for a clean slate that we watched the ball in New York in Times Square at midnight EST, and the Music Note makes its descent in Nashville at midnight CST.
We want a clean slate and lose the negative memories of 2023.
Many people will make resolutions as they believe that's the right thing to do but they last far too brief.
Most of what we don't like about our lifestyle can be altered, as it just takes a bit of determination and the desire to … (17 comments)

happy new year: It's 2023: Start Off With a Positive - 01/01/23 05:54 AM
It's 2023:  Start Off With a Positive
It was a year of strange happenings and our real estate world saw changes that had many scrambling especially as interest rates rose and the market took a shift.
The start of 2023 will have its uncertainties and many will have a mindset of positives with their resolutions. I have passed enough January 1's to know that for me, at least it's a waste of time, albeit a good thought.
No gym membership for me, if I see that piece of cheesecake, it will get devoured, and I will appease my addiction if a chance to hit … (17 comments)

happy new year: Happy 2021 May The New Year Bring A Return to Normalcy - 01/01/21 05:21 AM
Happy 2021  May The New Year Bring A Return to Normalcy
As we usher in the first day of 2021 no one will feel sad to see 2020 depart and hopefully the wishes for a return to normalcy sooner rather than later.
Such may not be the case and if thoughts are carried forward we may well see a mandated shut down of our daily lives for s much as 6 weeks.  The intent being to stop the spread and let those that have become infected heal and not infect others.  Only time will tell.
Looking ahead, with optimism, I wishing nothing but good … (21 comments)

happy new year: New Year, New Decade, New Hopes Happy New Year 2020 - 01/01/20 05:40 AM
New Year, New Decade, New Hopes Happy New Year 2020

We all hope for the best at the beginning of a new day. It is especially so as we step forward into a new year.
We begin with the hope that health stays with us as well as out family and close friends.
There is also the anticipation of continued success in our chosen fields.
Many resolutions will be made and for some they may become reality.
For those of us that have seen so many fail, we just strive to be consistent and hope for the best with the understanding that we need to make the best of … (12 comments)

happy new year: Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot . . . Happy New Year - 12/31/12 06:37 AM
Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot . . . Happy New Year

I can recall from a very young age New Year's celebrations with the Guy Lombardo Band playing this song at the stroke of Midnight and revelers dancing, hugging, singing and kissing in anticipation of a Happy New Year.

All was forgiven, and smiles were there and yet so many never even knew the meaning to the lyrics:

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind ?Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne,we'll take a cup … (10 comments)

happy new year: Happy New Year . . . Curing A Hangover - 01/01/10 12:11 AM
Well, we made it to 2010 and some of those that partied a bit too much or over indulged may have a problem on this the first day of the new decade. There are a slew of experts with the best cure for a hangover, probably the best cure being the simplest, 'Should't have had so much' That cure is pointless. Hangovers are proof that God has a sense of humor and may well be in touch with his feminine side, because the hangover itself had to have been something started by a woman just to get back at a man. … (16 comments)

happy new year: Wishing All a Happy New Year - 12/31/09 05:16 AM
The past year was interesting to say the least. As we wind down and bid adieu, we look forward to a new year with high hopes and great ambitions.  We want 2010 to be the year of the pre-approved buyer;           The seller that heeds our advice                 The appraiser that understands our contract                      The inspector that finds no problems                            The bank that happily extends the mortgage without conflicts               And of course a year of health and happiness for our family and friends               Happy New Year
