It's that time of year again when the town green will be orange with the pumpkins on display. 
Every year except for the Covid year, the town sponsors a challenge for the elementary school children to decorate a pumpkin to be judged for style and originality.
To highlight the day, there is an all-day party on the center green with all manner of activities.
There will be music for the ears, a competition for rolling hay balls, A maze made from burlap fencing and the rows upon rows of judged pumpkins

It's the 30th Prospect CT Sock Hop and Car show on the Green in Prospect CT .  It's the unofficial end of summer festival as the schools are primed to open for the new year
This is a well organized and highly anticipated event with all manner of cars and antique vehicles getting cleaned up and polished to be exhibited.
Two live bands will play the sounds of the 50's and 60's all afternoon.
The event starts at noon and runs through 6 PM.
Trophy's will be awarded to the cars at 5:3-0 pm.
The weather  has been wonderful lately bordering on hot so the day should be ideal.

A very Successful Prospect CT Car Show and Sock Hop The weather was perfect and the people of Prospect CT as well as neighboring towns came out for an Old Fashioned car show and Sock Hop. 2 bands played all afternoon as well as a DJ during breaks. The sounds were of the 50's and 60's and from appearances, those trying to dance were well past their 50's at the very least.

There will be treasures to be found and they will be all over town in Prospect CT on Saturday May 17, 2014.

The official town wide tag sale is Sat and the roads in town will be packed with bargain hunters. Tables will be going up early in the morning, and tents may well be put up the previous night as the sales will be rain or shine.
It has often been said that one persons trash is another persons treasure, and that will be the case today.

Saturday October 19, was a great fall day. The sun was shining, the temperatures were comfortable and on the Prospect Center Green, there were so many smiling faces enjoying the Prospect CT Pumpkin Festival.
Sponsored by the Mayor's office, all school children were given a pumpkin with the opportunity to compete for awards for most original design. All ages were competing with their classmates so many ribbons were awarded.
There were vendors with food, local merchants and businesses were there to give out information, and goodies; games set up in booths; and even hay bale rolling competitions … (5 comments)

It's time for the annual Pumpkin Festival on the town green, here in Prospect CT.
As in the past the town green off Center St will be abuzz with the festivities.
Local vendors and restaurants will set up their booths offering their specialty foods through the evening. All school children in Prospect CT have been given a pumpkin and asked to participate in the contest. All grades are judges separately and all contestants’ entries will be on display on the bleachers.

Prospect CT is a small town of almost 13,000 people. It was on the Money list of best small towns to live and came in at #300, for which the town had bumper stickers printed that read 'Best Little Small Town in the USA'. The center of town is also the intersection of 2 state roads, Rt 68 and Rt 69.

The Prospect Congregational Church will hold their 37th Annual Flea Market and Tag Sale, rain or shine, on Sat March 23 at the Church Hall from 9 AM to 2 PM.
