Here is my question as posted on LinkedIn for our Buffini Clubnet Group. How do I have that posted on my LinkedIn Home Page? They have really added so many features to this site, since I joined, that it is now a challenge for me. So, as I always do, I am depending on my buddies here on active rain for assistance.

Honestly, I have a pet. A black lab, Jack. He is a wonderful, mellow dog. When someone comes to the door, he becomes anxious and barks. Well, yes, that is his job. Watch dog. However, when you have a listing, it is not good when you, the Realtor, are at the front door with your clients and a dog starts barking at you. Buyers who are not familiar with dogs, really don't like to hear them. Some people are allergic to dogs or cats. What to do?

I always try to meet up with my friends from activerain. After helping eachother through some of our daily struggles and helping me with technical issues:), I look forward to meeting these members in person. When I first began my career, some twenty-two years ago, I had an excellent broker train me. To this day, when she speaks to me, my ears perk up! One of the first things that she taught me was this; it is good to have lots of listings with your signs on them. It is better, when those listing signs say SOLD!

My goodness! I went out shopping for my Son-in-Law's birthday yesterday and I was just amazed at all of the beautiful mum plants. Almost every store had them. From Lowe's, SAM's CLUB, Walgreen's, to the local grocery store, Highland Park Market in South Windsor. They are huge plants! I don't think they would have fit in the trunk of my car. Many people were purchasing them. So nice to see that folks are beautifying their yards. Curb appeal is so important right now. I have heard from several agents that their clients are nervous, scared or just still back in the old market. The more you talk with them, and let them know that you are on top of things, the less apprehensive they willl be. Call them two to three times a week. You certainly have the time now:) If it is a listing client, go over and see them. Bring a popby gift. Something seasonal, not something to do with real estate. Here in the New England area, we are already feeling and seeing autumn weather and its effects. Leaves are turning colors, temperatures are falling (brr!), and we need to be advising our clients a little differently. Vacant houses, or those who know they are moving by a certain date, no matter what, are the ones I am noting here. Let's say they are on the market for six months, already. As a Clubnet Member, I am able to listen to Brian Buffini's Conference Call once a month. Most times I do listen "live". I just cannot wait for it to come via mail. I know that this man has really good tips and words of wisdom that will help me through to reach my goals. I make an appointment in my assignment book to make sure I am able to listen in. Any one of you can hold this type of event. Go to your local SAM's CLUB and talk with the Marketing Membership Manager. I held a breakfast, tour and information event at my local SAM's CLUB this morning at 8AM. Greg is the Manager of the Membership at this club. All of the staff helps and greets you and your attendees with warm smiles. I invitied my family, friends, clients and vendors. It is a good time for them to all mix in and meet eachother. The Wapping Fair was held at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor, Ct on September 4th thru September 7th. This fair celebrated its 116th year! I remember attending with my parents when I was a child. Bringing my own children, years ago, had become a family tradition. It has a new location. Same town, but now, for the last two years, it has been located at Evergreen Walk. The organizer for this event is the Jaycees. What a wonderful job they did. Did I mention that the weather in San Diego was absolutely, picture perfect during the MasterMind Event? Clear and sunny, every day. Some folks went to the beach after the event, some stayed a few more days. I met a lady, from New England, while I was in line for one of my autographs and she had gone to Mexico the week prior to MM08 and spent it at a spa:) Sounds good to me! It is truly amazing. I was able to meet members from Actve Rain at the Buffini MasterMind Summit in San Diego. It was so nice to connect, in person, with people who I have been corresponding and blogging with, right there, at the San Diego Convention Center. The Exhibit Hall was set up for us to network, seating was comfortable and designed in groups. Visibility was good because the signs were bright and had large print:) There was plenty of water, in every room, and there were food stations and cafeteria style options for satisfying all of us hungry Realtors. We all can agree, when Brian Buffini holds an event, it is always amazing and better than you could have ever imagined! Mastermind Summit 2008 certainly was the best event that I attended this year. Oh, you're really going to love this one! Is your seller a person who called in to your office? Did they ask for you, in particular? Was it an email correspondent? How about, did they come to an open house that you held? Were they referred to you by another Realtor, out-of-state or out of your demographic area? Did they find you through your family or friends? Did one of your present or past clients give them your name to call when they said they needed a good agent?

You have a buyer contract with Mr. X. You have him pre-approved and off you go to look at properties. Setting up appointments within his time frame and yours. Yes, there are many listings to see. So, let's try to narrow down what this buyer really wants. I, actually, made forms for buyers to fill out these "wants in my next home." On that same form, I ask for their birthday, anniversary (in case they are a couple), favorite restaurant, favorite song, color, etc. It gets me to know my client in a faster amount of time, on a more personal … (12 comments)

When you appear in court, to serve on jury duty in your county, the town that you reside in determines which county courthouse you will be attending. Your homeowner's and vehicle insurance are determined by the county, also. I found these lists online through the Google site. I thought this would be useful information to the public, though we all do use Google:) Some of the towns listed are part of another town, a suburb or downtown area.
