Following four successful years, BlackRock Rocks will present their biggest Mardi Gras event to date, featuring, from New Orleans, Delfeayo Marsalis. BlackRock Rocks Mardi Gras will take place from 2:30 pm until last call on Saturday, February 13 at three venues in the heart of Black Rock: Acoustic Café, Black Rock Tavern and Lady Luck. The event will benefit Marsalis' Uptown Music Theatre & Swinging with the Cool School, a New Orleans children's program whose mission is to "promote community unity through the tradition of fine storytelling in musical theatre". Hello Supporters, The devastation in Haiti is unlike anything the world has ever seen before. Thankfully the worldwide community is coming to the aid of the people of Haiti. The greater Bridgeport area is getting involved as you would expect. At Burroughs we know firsthand just how supportivethe local community can be. We know that our closest friends and supporters think globally as well as locally.
