My residential listing located at 112 Shady Oaks Lane, in the Echols Acres Subdivision, Lewisburg WV, has been SOLD. We received a solid contract the second week it was on the market. It was an estate sale, and all proceeds were to go to the deceased widow’s two children. The closing for the house was delayed because one of the heirs, the son, died suddenly of a massive heart attack. Curb Appeal Improved!
My new listing at 112 Shady Oaks Lane in Lewisburg, WV, was lacking in some curb appeal. As noticed in the photo below, the logs in the front of the house were NOT a pretty sight.
For better curb appeal, I suggested moving the hostas that were hidden by the bushes on the side of house to the front and adding some flowers. Also to replace the window well covers as they were cracked. The result was definitely an improvement.

for the months of March and April, 2010
The below charts depicts a good month of sold listings in April as compared to March listings. There was an increase of five listings sold in April 2010 than in March 2010. The list and sold volumes were much higher in April. Also, there was an increase in list and sold prices in April 2010. Note that listings were on the market less days...hopefully a good sign for the summer.

In March of 2009 there were 9 residential homes that closed within the month for Lewisburg WV, and ten residential homes that closed in the month of March of 2008 and 2007. This is a decrease of only 1 unit, and shows the market is not declining much in this area. The chart also depicts the average sale price went up in 2009. But, that the average days on the market for 2009 is up slightly. as noted in the below chart:
