My backyard is becoming a wildlife sanctuary. We have wild chickens and roosters, ducks, an abundance of squirrels, raccoons, wild cats, owls, and goats. In the distance, I can hear cows, but they have made it to my yard yet. Now, that fall is approaching the deer are starting to roam again. I will have at least three deer a day walk in the backyard. Yesterday, while I was working as an onsite agent, I was given a reminder from a potential buyer client. He came into the model home and the first thing he said very sternly was "I just walked out on another Realtor for not hearing me out". Of course my defenses automatically went up, but then I stepped back and let him explain. He had some very specific needs that had to be met and the other Realtor was not hearing his needs. Tropical Storm Fay finally made it to the Upstate of South Carolina today. She has zigged and zagged for over a week. Now, she is supposed to bring 4 to 6 inches of blessed rain to our area. I have noticed a trend with buyer clients in the past several weeks. The buyers start out with a mission to find the best possible deal on the market. These are qualified buyers. So the buyer and I do the search process and then the elimination process. The search is narrowed down to a couple of choices and of course they must think about it to weigh all of their options. Simple things like general clean up, pressure washing, painting, replacing or adding shutters, landscaping and neatly trimmed grass and shrubs will cause buyers heads to turn. It is the first day back to school for most Upstate, South Carolina Schools today. It is back to structure, schedules, homework, projects, bedtimes,and alarm clocks. It is also a time for new and old friends, new teachers and new beginnings. The next couple of weeks will be an adjustment for teachers, students and parents, but we will all be back into the routine quickly. Go Away Fay!! According to the national news, Fay is slated to the hit the Florida Keys as a Hurricane. The tourist have been ordered to leave and now the residents are boarding up their homes and businesses to wait for the worse.
