branford: Bloggers Block....is there any cure?

I seem to be suffering from a serious case of bloggers block. Don't ask me how with everything going on with the housing market and the economy. Maybe that it is. Maybe I am so burned out from reading about it that my mind is choosing to block it out! The saying out of sight out of mind has new meaning here. Or is it out of ideas.... out of my mind??? As I read back through some of my old blogs I feel like they were written by someone else. Where is that funny, self confident blogger? Maybe I should ask … (0 comments)

The wait is finally over. The Big Y officially opened its doors at 7:30am. And it didnt take long for the parking lot to fill up. I think the anticipation has been building and now people are just relieved that it is over. They sent out a really great flyer to all residents introducing department heads and talking about what they offer. They were also promoting some real great sales prices and contests as well. First let me state that I have not been paid or offered any kind of incentive for recommending these restaurants. GREAT SUSHI---Wasabi Without a doubt Wasabi is one of the better sushi places around this area. The fish is fresh and they offer a full menu of dinner options including Chicken Teriyaki and Bip Bam Bowls (delicious)! They have specials four nights a week with Monday being free sake night, Tuesday is half off all sushi. Wednesday is Senior Citizen and Thursday is Ladies night...ladies get a free drink or dessert. We have all heard that we are currently in a buyers market. But do consumers know what that actually means. If it is a buyers market why are so many buyers still sitting on the sidelines? Are they waiting for the so called bubble to burst? There are alot of news stories and press on the subject but the numbers speak for themselves. Although homes sales by volume are down prices are actually still on the rise in most areas. As the holiday season approaches more than ever my thoughts turn to those in need. Our office along with the North Branford Rotary Club is sponsoring a clothing drive to donate immediately to local New Haven shelters in need. There are an average of 1300 homeless people in New Haven on any given day. We will be collecting clothes sorted into men, women and childrens clothing. We will also be collecting gently used blankets. We ask that the items are sorted because we load them straight onto the truck and after 2pm when the drive is over the items are driven DIRECTLY … (2 comments)
