For our {almost} Wordless Wednesday post I wanted to show you the progression of what happened to just one street near our home and how it was affected by the wrath of Hurricane Irene.Below is just after the storm ended before the damn was breached but the water was beginning to rise.As the day progressed the waters rose severely as evidenced here.Finally the next day the waters receded and left these folks with a soggy mess to clean up.Our hearts go out to our neighbors as we are currently getting another deluge of rain today.Hopefully it wont be this bad this time … (8 comments)

The American Cancer Society's GWB Challenge is a wonderful cause that we would like to bring to the attention to all those who might be interested. Our daughter Jessica has been involved in donating her time to this worthy cause. She is the entertainment chairman on the 21st annual GWB challenge planning committee for the American Cancer Society. Hundreds of people will be assembling at the Port Authority to walk across the George Washington Bridge, and then on a plotted route through northern New Jersey ending in a picnic to celebrate.
