In 2018 Poor Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) and with the province of British Columbia in a state of emergency as a result of more than 560 active forest fires, AQHI levels skyrocketed to a 10+ rating (very high risk) forced Kelowna Apple Triathlon and Triathlon Canada officials to cancel the races. However this year 2019 our air is great and the races are set to go come rain or shine starting Saturday morning. The Apple has been an icon of the triathlon scene since 1983.
