The old farmhouse on the property of the Norman Bird Sanctuary on Third Beach Road in Middletown, Newport County, Rhode Island has been undergoing extensive renovations for the past several years.  The Paradise Farmhouse, as it is called, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the oldest structure on Norman Bird Sanctuary's 325 acre property.  It dates back to the early 1700's when it was used as a shack for tenant farmers.  During renovations, the character of the structure has been meticulously preserved, even while updating all systems.  Interior architectural details that had been removed at … (0 comments)
