Sarasota, Florida recently ranked Number One among the Top 10 Places to Retire by TopRetirements.com. This is the latest acknowledgement of the desirability of the Sarasota area. Just last year, Siesta Key Beach was rated the Number One Beach in the 21st Annual Top 10 Beach List by Dr. Beach, and Lakewood Ranch ranked among the top-selling master-planned communities in the nation in 2011. Also among the Top Ten Places to Retire was Venice, another Sarasota County community, which ranked ninth.
