Do Oakland County MI Houses Sell in the Winter? I have been asked this question quite a bit lately. The short answer is yes. Not as many as in the summer- as you can see from the graph below, there's a big drop in January. This is due mostly to the Christmas holidays. Thanksgiving and New Years affect this, too.

The best prices I've gotten for sellers have been the quickest sales. Last year I listed a 4 bedroom colonial in Wyngate, Clarkston MI. Do The Windows Really Need Replacing? I was showing an 18 year old house the other day, and the buyer mentioned it would need new windows. They looked fine and no evidence of broken seals. Getting Your Oakland County MI Home Ready for Sale We are not currently in a market where it is worth gutting your kitchen or baths before selling your house. Those things will make your house easier to sell, but dropping the price by the amount of the cost of a new kitchen or baths would do the same thing and your house will have an easier time appraising.
