It has been busy and I have been remiss at keeping up with my blogging. But recently I assisted a family prepare their townhouse for selling. They are busy people with 2 young boys. They have bought a house and need to sell quickly. They really needed help. The Realtor called me in and together with my painter, we made a difference! Tanja Powell of Powell Painting did a fantastic job, in a very short time, so I could stage the townhouse last weekend. There is a distinct movement toward Decorating Green-as in reusing, and recycling~in other words~redesigning and using what we already have! Many will discredit decorators and designers as encouraging homeowners to strip down their homes to the rafters every January because that way we stay in business; however, when we focus on redesign we focus on using what you already have and perhaps adding an accent piece that complements the homeowners' style that also gives a lift and may be based on a current, or new, trend.
