bridge: Sanibel Island Drawbridge Opens For The Last Time!

Sunset View standing on the sand between the two existing bridge spans! Sanibel Island Florida has been a part of my life for over 20 years! Being a past owner/vacationer on the Island, I have seen the Island change over the years. June 28th 2007 marked the last day the drawbridge was opened opened of the last time. I used to be able to see in the distance, the sailboats going toward the bride from my balcony on my condo at lighthouse Point ! Please Don't get me wrong, I always complained on waiting for the drawbridge when the traffic backed up on the bridge! … (0 comments)
