444 Dartmouth was one of the most extensive renovations I’ve watched our crews complete. If anyone from flip this house is reading this blog watch this video and give me a call. We could easily put Kansas City on the A&E map.
The total renovation took 9 weeks. Since this remodel took place during the winter we didn’t have a chance to do as much landscapping as we would have liked. Thank goodness we finally got some good weather in Kansas City otherwise our crews may have never been able to work on the exterior of 444 Dartmouth. Since the interior of this house has already been completed and staged this progress post will focus on the properties exterior.
It’s amazing how much work can get done on the exterior of a house when its 70 degrees for a few days. We still have a good amount of landscaping to do but as you can see the exterior paint is all done and the shutter have been installed. It’s really starting … (6 comments)

We’re in the second week of the renovation of 424 Dartmouth. This looks like it will be a quick remodel nothing like the extensive renovation taking place down the street at 444 Dartmouth.
Much of the patch and paint work is underway on this house. As I stated before keep your eye on this corner of the living room we plan on putting a half bath over here.
This is where the old half bath used to be. Removing the half bath made the kitchen a lot larger.

In case it wasn’t quite clear Vizion is one of those companies that’s run by a couple guys in their 20’s. Our focuses and directions change by the day. What may look like some sort of makeshift organization from the outside is actually a well functioning and profitably business especially for our investors. The new sidewalk was poured late last week. This is a fantastic addition to the house since the old sidwalk was nearly 100 years old.

Brookside is a neighborhood and shopping center located in Kansas City, Missouri on 63rd Street & Brookside Boulevard. The location surrounds the area from 62nd Terrance to Meyer Boulevard on the North/South and Wornall Road to Main Street on the West/East. We are in the final weeks of our renovation on 444 Dartmouth aka the longest renovation so far this year. For those of you who have patiently waiting this projects completion rest assured your patience will be well rewarded.
Winter is the toughest time of year to do home renovations. This has been especially true this year since the weather has been more random than usual. This is shaping up to be one of my favorite home renovations. Seeing this project come together has been truly amazing. That’s a lot for me to say considering I’ve witnessed dozens of home renovations with Vizion including the amazing transformation of James A Reed but that’s another story.

Our crews just started work on 424 Dartmouth last week. The tear out was completed while the painting crew worked on 444 Darthmouth which is right down the street.
As I’ve said many times before part of the reason we’ve been so successful flipping houses is because we understand that in order to flip a house you must add real value to that property. Earlier today I brought a potential investor over to this house in order to show him and his wife what it looks like when we’re halfway into a renovation. It’s always fun to see the reaction on peoples faces who’ve never watched a remodel take place. It’s almost like they can’t believe that in a few weeks this is going to be a beautiful home.

To the untrained eye it may look like we’ve been working on this projet for two weeks and have accomplished nothing. Trust me progress is being made by the day. Keep in mind Vizion hasn’t taken on a project this large since James A Reed.
We’ve expanded this doorway giving a more open feel between the dining room and the kitchen. This was the first thing our new interior designer recommended. Our interior designer also did the staging on our house at 425 W 70th.

Things are coming along very well at 444 Dartmouth a continuation of Progress Brookside. Keep in mind that this is one of are larger projects of the year. From the looks of the things this property won’t be ready till the end of January. Nonetheless progress is being made.

425 W 70th our first house in the Project Brookside series has been completed. This has been one of my favorite projects to work on and is one of largest projects we’ve done this year. I was just thinking that it would be a great idea to have the former owner come by and take a look at what we did to his old home.

With 425 W 70th wrapping up early next week our crews have alread started work on our second house in Brookside this year at 444 W Dartmouth. This house will surely qualify for a place in our series Nastiest to Nicest Remodels. The property in 30 seconds When I first saw this house I was immediately reminded of a remodel we did on James A Reed in Raytown, MO.
