The kids are home from school, family is in town....here are three fun things to do in the Treasure Valley for the kids and kids at heart.
 
1. Festival of Trees  (Nov 26-Nov 30)   This is annual event takes over the Grove in Downtown Boise.  Elaborately decorated trees and holiday crafts fill all nooks and crannies of the event center.  The main stage features singers and dancers of all genres providing day long entertainment.  Don't forget to visit Santa in Santa's Workshop.  Enjoy various free arts and crafts while you wait your turn.  A must see holiday event!

My family went to the Kids Fair last year and this is a must hit event!  There was truly something for everyone.  For the carnival lover, there was face painting, bounce houses and games.  Prefer animals?  They had a great indoor petting zoo that included reptiles!  My kids loved investigating the emergency vehicles.  It was fun to listen to all the questions they had for the EMT.  Check out the event Facebook page for more details!

When boredom lurks upon me and my family, I often forget about the many resources and events available at my local library.  As I reviewed the Meridian Library activity list, I was surprised to find regular activities for infants and toddlers, story time for all ages, craft classes, adult book clubs, pre-teen gaming, a lego club, computer courses and the list went on!!  There is even a large selection of free movie rentals.  To find an Idaho library nearest you, check out the below link:
