Downtown Silver Spring, Maryland is an exciting place nowadays! Over the past three years there has been a welcomed and amazing re-birth of the historic downtown area. The revitalization effort was kicked off with the opening of the Discovery Channel's headquarters. Other wonderful additions have followed. The American Film Institute is now housed in the beautifully restored Silver Theater. The theater is a wonderful example of the great art deco architecture to be found in the area. In addition to the myriad of restaurants, clothing, shoe and home accents stores and a Whole Foods Market there will soon be two new-comers … (1 comments)
