It really is a new era for the maize and blue and not just because the jerseys have lost their swish which I'm not happy about. But anyhow when the wolverines take the field next month a longtime familiar face will not be on the sideline. Yes I'm talking about the 97 national championship coach Lloyd Carr. He didn't win another but consistently keep Michigan in the national title hunt year in and year out. I enjoyed knowing that he ran a clean cut competitive program and won many big ten titles.
