Scanlon Signing Services is doing its part to help preserve the environment. We donate all our used toner cartridges to our neighborhood school system for recycling. Also all of our shredded paper is donated to the local humane society to be used as animal bedding. The biggest impact will be when we are able to go completely electronic with all of our documents. I hope everyone is having a great start to this new year. I just wanted to anounce that Florida House Bill 1305 took effect Januray 1, 2008. This Bill authorizes electronic notarizations to be performed in the state of Florida. This means notaries can electronically notarize documents and the state can record them. Florida's eNotarization law is the first to include national standards published by the National Assoc of Secretaries(NAAS)- this is an important step that will streamline the exchange of enotarized documents between Florida and other states that include the national standards.
