James Island, SC can be a tricky housing market to navigate if you're looking for good neighborhood amenities. Because most of the island is already developed, land comes at a premium here - which means fewer neighborhood amenities for home buyers. The older neighborhoods that were developed in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s often did not leave space for pools and such because amenities were not as big of a selling feature back then.
