The new Miss Iowa 2007 was crowned on Saturday night at North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa.
Her name is Diana Reed, Miss Capital City, who is 23 years old and a student at the University of Iowa where she received the Highest Distinction, a 4.0, and has been the Golden Girl from 2002-2006!  Diana is also a Ten Time National Show Twirl Champ, the 2004 Iowa State Fair Talent Search Champ!  Her career ambition is to perform on Broadway and open a Baton and Dance Studio.  Diana's proud parents are Douglas & Debra Reed of Norwalk, Iowa (where Diana was the 2002 Valedictorian of Norwalk High School).

This home is just being completed in Northwest Davenport, Iowa by a great group of youth from the Davenport and North Scott Schools.  There was a very nice reception May 23 for these students and their families where $10,000 of scholarships were handed out!
This program was started in 1974 and students have built about 20 homes over the years!  The Greater Davenport Board of Realtors(R) continues to be a proud sponsor of this event and welcomes all volunteers to get involved by calling the Program Coordinator at (563) 386-6030.

How many times have you had to try to fix someone's situation when they were behind the eight ball because of a BAD APPRAISAL!!!  This week we hope to close on a deed in lieu of foreclosure.  These people bought this house just 4 years ago for $97,000.  Because of a BAD APPRAISAL, they paid too much.  If the appraiser was doing his job, or their Realtor did a proper CMA, and the seller was willing they probably would've only paid $92,000 for that house in that market.  Fast forward two years of temptations of advertising to "Refinance Your Home" and we get … (24 comments)
