bend housing market: Bend and Redmond Real Estate Stats for August - 09/10/16 06:35 AM
The Beacon Report came out this last week with figures for Bend and Redmond real estate.  We did a recap of the graph data and came up with some interesting numbers on Redmond.  As housing has been unaffordable for much of the work force in Bend, people are moving to other cities and commuting (see link to Bend Bulletin article).   I think this has a lot to do with the increase in activity for Redmond and increase in median sales price.

bend housing market: Sort of good news for Bend and link to magazine I just learned about - 06/29/11 09:28 AM
Just found out about this magazine called Oregon Business and thought I'd share it for people who might be interested in relocating to Bend and for those who are already here.  The news in the article link is not good for our local housing industry, but it does show that regardless of the economy, there will still be many people wanting to relocate to Bend which will help keep up the demand for housing.  This also has interesting articles for other regions.  Enjoy.

bend housing market: Interesting article from RIS Media today about housing market - 05/24/10 04:43 AM
I just read this article and one thing I was encouraged by is that they did not mention Bend.  To be honest, I was surprised they didn't mention our area along with Central California and Las Vegas as having concentrations of short sales and foreclosures to compete with regular home sales.  If only I had better credit--what a time to buy some real bargains.

bend housing market: Bank owned and short sale statistics for Bend - 05/23/10 08:11 PM
I just studied the attached report prepared from MLS statistics by my principal brokers and it pretty much supports what I have been observing in the market.  While the average price per home dropped significantly between Jan and Feb, the prices have been pretty stable and gone up a little and I firmly believe this is because of all the postponed foreclosures going through HAFA and other programs.

bend housing market: Interesting article about Bend real estate market for 2009 - 02/28/10 06:16 AM
Interesting article on KTVZ website - link is posted below.  According to the article, 2009 prices were down 20.55% over the previous year.  We could pretty much see this as realtors, but good reference for affirming our observations.  Now the big question is when will it stop?
