Alpine World Championships A total of 600 athletes from more than 70 countries will compete for medals and the title of World Champion in the six disciplines Downhill, Giant Slalom, Super-G, Slalom, Super Combination and in the Team Event. The Award Ceremonies take place at Kulm Park in the center of St. Moritz. Please find below the provisional race program to get an idea of the scheduled competitions. The US Ski Team just announced the 2017 team representing the United States at the Alpine World Championships. This alpine ski event will be held in St. Moritz, Switzerland Feb 6-19. Cheer on our team if you get the chance. Many events will be televised on NBC. The US Ski Team announced 23 athletes that will participate in the World Alpine Championships. There are a number of US World Cup and Olympic champions on this outstanding team including New Hampshire's own Mikaela Shiffrin !

The Audi Women’s FIS World Cup Ski event is happening at Killington, VT. on November 26-27, 2016. An alpine World Cup race has not been held in New England since 1991 when Waterville Valley, NH hosted a women’s slalom race, won by US skier Julie Parisien.This two-day event will host over 100 racers representing 21 countries and their women’s national world cup ski teams.
