Alpine World Championships A total of 600 athletes from more than 70 countries will compete for medals and the title of World Champion in the six disciplines Downhill, Giant Slalom, Super-G, Slalom, Super Combination and in the Team Event. The Award Ceremonies take place at Kulm Park in the center of St. Moritz. Please find below the provisional race program to get an idea of the scheduled competitions. Keep an eye on Lindsey Vonn in the speed events, Downhill and SuperG as well as Mikaela Shiffren in the technical events, Slalom and Giant Slalom. world cup event: Killington, Vermont Women's World Cup Ski Event in Two Weeks !

In just two weeks Killington, Vermont will host the first Women's World Cup event in the North East since 1991..! The inaugural Giant Slalom event for 2016-2017 was held in Soleden, Austria several weeks ago.They are in Levi, Finland this weekend.... and the next stop is Killington, Vermont, Thanksgiving weekend. The three women pictured above took the podium in that October 21'st event: Lara Gut, center, celebrates winning the giant slalom at the season's first World Cup race.
