new york city: Montclair Farmer's Market...It's Just Around the Corner

Food co-ops and farmer's market are not a new thing but I recently read an article in the New York Times about the growing popularity of “green gardens” being planted on urban rooftops in the city. IN a similar fashion to CSA's, the residents share in duties of caring for the plots and also share the wealth of the food they grow. Soon the Montclair Farmer’s Market will open at the Walnut St. Train Station and I’m counting down the days. Nothing puts a smile on my face like a Saturday morning at the market pursuing the fresh fruits and vegetables (2 comments)
