The property tax rate was voted for in late June 2011 and will NOT be increasing but will be staying the same in Prince Georges County in 2011. This will be signed into effect on July 1st 2011. In order to know whether your taxes will be decreasing, you have to check to see if the TAX ASSESSED VALUE for the home was lowered. If it is, then this means the property taxes for that property will be dropping by Mid July. If the tax rates would have increased this may not have changed the taxes even with the assessed values decreasing, depending on how much … (0 comments)
